A note from our co-founders
Every pet has a personality.
Yet when it comes to helping them make friends, we leave it almost entirely to chance β a hopeful sniff at the park, and fingers crossed it goes well.
Woofy started with a shy dog. One of us grew up with a pup who froze at the park β who wanted friends but never quite knew how to make them, and shrank a little more each time it didn't work out.
The other one of us knew the exact same ache β only hers were two cats. Same story, different species: companions who deserved connection and couldn't find it on their own.
It's not just play.
Socialisation shapes a dog's whole life. Well-socialised dogs are far less likely to develop fear, anxiety and aggression β and those behaviour problems are among the leading reasons dogs end up surrendered to shelters. The right friendships aren't a luxury; they're some of the best things you can do for a pet's long-term health and happiness.
"We started Woofy because finding the right friend for your dog shouldn't be guesswork."
So we built matching around what actually matters: energy, habits and personality. Not just who happens to share your postcode. The right introduction is where a real friendship begins, for your dog and for you.
We're starting in the UK, building carefully, with the community at the centre. If your dog is family to you, you're exactly who we're building this for. Come be part of the early chapter.
